Frequently asked questions

Will my images be stretched or squashed?

Never. Aspect ratio is preserved in every mode — setting both a width and a height fits the image inside that box rather than distorting it to match exactly.

Can I enlarge a small image?

Fit mode will not scale beyond the original size, because upscaling only adds blur. If you genuinely need a larger canvas, use the percentage or explicit width mode.

Is my data uploaded to a server?

No. Every tool on this site runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. Your input never leaves your device and is never sent over the network, which means it is safe to paste production data, API responses and tokens.
